Iowa to Romania

HammocKings! Hey guys this was a crazy week on so many levels!!!! Tuesday was a pretty packed day. We had 3 lessons with 3 investigators and they all went well. Our first was with Mihai and we helped him try and get back on that path towards baptism. He's been kinda flaky and this lesson was to really help him get back on track. We then had a lesson with Victoria and this was one of the highlights. We taught her about the Restoration and reestablished those expectations that we have for her. Turns out she has read from the Book of Mormon and is starting to see the similarities of the Bible and the Book of Mormon. She is starting to really progress and only big things are going to happen. We then taught Catalin a little about faith. This is what we really want to focus with him if he is ever going to progress any time soon. Overall, it was a bomb day! Am I real? Hey guys this week was pretty good over here in Romania!   Blurry Selfie Tuesday we had a good day, even though Elder Thomson had allergy attacks that weren't fun at all. But we managed to get through the day and get on our train to Bucuresti for our exchanges with the Zone Leaders. And then a fun little added note was that we took a quick detour to the Hettinger's place for our interviews. So we had some late night interviews with President and Sister Hettinger and it was our end of our night. Everything went great and we were ready for our sweet day in Bucuresti. Wednesday was our exchanges and I was with Elder Krieger. It was a pretty basic day of just contacting and studies because nothing was really planned for the day. But at the end of the day, we had a good review of the exchange and talked about how we can improve and rise up to the next level as the mission itself starts changing. What is up everyone?? This week was a baller week and a bunch of stuff went down!!! Tuesday we had a good day as we taught our investigator Mihai about keeping the Sabbath holy. He seemed to understand it and promised to keep it which is a good sign. He is looking good for the 23rd and we hope we can meet with him a lot this upcoming week so he is 100% ready for his baptism. He also has read up to Omni in the Book of Mormon so that is super awesome! Prayers out to him to keep moving forward and to be prepared for his big day! Wednesday was a pretty meh day. We did studies and such but then we had to leave to Ploiesti for our exchanges with the elders over there. Thursday was our big exchange and I was with Elder Ward once again! It was a pretty awesome day for the most part. We did a lot of contacting, member work, studies, everything possible. Our Mountain! Elder Thomson and Bowen Hello everybody!! This was a super fire week here in the great city of Pitești!!!! Tuesday was a pretty slow day overall. We were able, though, to get a pretty cool new potential investigator named Gheorghe. He is an older man who knows the branch president in Panduri and he respects us a whole lot. He said he really would like to meet up so we are excited to see how that goes. Wednesday we had a really special Zone Conference in București. Elder De Feo of the 70 (one of the central leadership groups of the church) came and he had a whole lot to talk about. It was a super spiritual event for everyone there. A huge focus was about letting the Spirit teach us instead of him. He told us to write down what we felt in our hearts throughout the conference while also writing down what we were taught. HEY GUYS! This week was a rocking week!!!!!!! Transfers Last Picture with Elder Solov'iov as he is headed to Moldova. Tuesday was the first day with Elder Thomson around. We managed to do some great stuff, like teaching Luminita for the last time before her baptismal interview. It was super great and she was just loving everything going on! Definitely super prepared for her baptism and life in the church which is super good to hear! Wednesday we had a solid time doing basically everything we could. We met a pretty cool guy named Daniel and talked about basketball and our purpose here as missionaries so that was awesome. We then visited a member at his work and we talked about life and everything, mainly so Elder Thomson could see the members again (he was here a year ago so that's lit). We then had Luminita's baptismal interview and it went super well! She passed with flying colors, making her baptism the next step on her path of discipleship. Waffles! ...

At church with Elder Solov'iov and Luminita Hey guys this was a pretty sweet week here in Pitesti!! Tuesday we had a really strong lesson with two guys named Alex and Mihai. We had taught Mihai before, so our main focus was Alex. We taught them about the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith, two things that both of them really need to know. It was a really good lesson and both Alex and Mihai felt the Spirit for sure. We gave Alex a Book of Mormon and committed him to read and pray about it. He gladly accepted and it'll be great to see how he progresses. Wednesday we had a spiritual feast as we had 2 lessons with 2 investigators. First was with our investigator Luminita about the Word of Wisdom and prophets. She loves prophets and she knows they are called of God to lead His church. Hello everybody! Hope life is going great cause mine is! Tuesday we had a very big treaba day. We are prepping for big things here in Pitesti. But in order to do so, we needed to do a couple things. We started work on some English posters and cards to give to people to help them know we teach English. We hope for some results, but we will see as time goes on. Wednesday we tried to do some visa work for Elder Solov'iov, but the visa office people were very confusing and we weren't able to do anything that day. Super unfortunate but it is what it is. The highlight of the day was a lesson with our investigator Mihai. We taught him the Plan of Salvation and we thought it was a pretty good lesson. However, Mihai found it hard to believe what we were teaching. But we invited him to pray with a desire to know the truth and he was willing to do so.
