"Even if you have a goalkeeper, doesn't mean you can't score"

A pretty fountain   Hey guys this was a party week!!!!! Tuesday was a pretty good day. We did some early morning contacting and that went pretty well! We managed to get a few numbers to start off the week really well! But then we had to wait for a package for Elder Solov'iov's visa and that took forever. The package actually didn't even come so we had spent all that time for nothing really. Wednesday we had a chill day waiting for the package again and it didn't come once again so that got really annoying. We also traveled to Bucuresti because Elder Solov'iov needed to have a medical appointment for his visa and no medical place here in Pitesti did them. So we traveled to Bucuresti and that was fun!   Pigeon racing! Thursday was the medical appointment day and that was quick and easy so we then went back home to Pitesti. We then spent a 3rd day waiting for this package and surprise surprise, it didn't come again. But we finished the night w

Pace Domnul Domnul Pace

Tulips.  Pitesti is apparently famous for them Hello everybody!!! This was a fire week and success was quite common this week!!! Tuesday we were fortunate to have the opportunity to meet with a investigator in the morning but it turned out to be very interesting. This investigator's name is Luminta and she is a Pentecostal and every time we meet with her, she greets us by saying "Pace Domnul" which means Peace Lord. So that was really weird and then she took us to a store and ended up buying us button-up white shirts! We tried to refuse but she kept saying her Pace Domnul so we let her do it. She really loves us and it showed hahaha.  Wednesday was an awesome day as we kept the work progressing here in Pitesti. We set another baptismal date for May 12th with a guy named Mihai and this really got people pumped. President Hettinger is so pumped for us, mainly cause Pitesti has not had a baptism is 5 years and now we have 2 dates set!!! I'm super pumpe

Sweet Mamaliga

Hey guys this week was a very solid first one here in Pitesti!!!   Fountain in Central Pitesti Tuesday was the day I said goodbye to Bucuresti and hello to Pitesti. The train ride was pretty simple so nothing big their but when I got to Pitesti, I learned that this place is super awesome!! Such a beautiful city!! And so begins the tales of me and Elder Solov'iov. He is such a great guy and I know I am going to love him. We didn't do much except some contacting and some block knocking but good things are going to come from all that.   Companion Pic - Elder Solov'iov and Bowen Wednesday was my first full day in Pitesti and we did some pretty solid things. In the morning we did some contacting and I was able to get 6 numbers in about an hour or so. That is a testament of a great city and great people. All of them are super people and I hope that they continue to progress. We then had a lesson with a member named Marius and we talked about trials and how we ne

Hard Pill to Swallow

My travels so far. Hey guys, this week was a crazy week here in Romania. Let me tell you why... Tuesday I had a some intense conversations with some weird people. I talked with a Jehovah Witness about weird stuff, I talked with a guy about God and how he is in nature (yeah that was weird....), and then we had a meeting with Michael and helped him set goals to help his life get back together, but he has not followed through with those goals. So that was basically our day and nothing exciting happened. Wednesday, we contacted hard core for 3.5 hours on the streets of Bucuresti. It was a busy day for sure, but we managed to get 9 contacts so that is a huge success on our part!!! Elder Ward and I were really happy with the day and hope for the best for them in the long run. The Lord will bless you for your hard work for sure so put your shoulder to the wheel!!!! Thursday was a pretty lame day as nothing big really happened. We did contacting as usual but this time, I was talkin

Rise up O Bucuresti!

HEY GUYS! This week was niceeeee! Another Bucuresti Pig (not sure why Cole finds this so interesting) Tuesday was a chill day, nothing big going on. We taught this member named Michael and that was a really good time as we are helping him come back to church. We read the Book of Mormon with him and helping him feel the Spirit again in his life. Wednesday was a great day as far as contacting goes. Elder Ward and I as a companionship got 6 numbers in a 2 hour period which is pretty darn good for us to say the least. One of those numbers was a girl named Andreea who loves God but dislikes the Orthodox church. I was able to talk about our church and how it differs from the   Orthodox church. She was really interested and wanted to learn more and talk so that was super awesome!! Thursday was a really hard day for us. Elder Ward received a new musical number for the Easter concert and he needed to work on it a lot. So we spent 6 hours at the church, him practicing and me re
