Strawberry and the Soul Reapers

Heyy everyone!! This week was a great one for us out here in Cluj! We have been doing a lot to try and set up lessons with people in the Area Book and it's been going quite nicely. We found this guy named Andrei who has already been to church a couple times and a few baptismal services in the past. We met up with him and we just tried to understand what he believes, what he's been taught, and what we need to do next. He has strong faith in Jesus Christ and has explained that we are imperfect and we need to change in order to return to God after this life. We discussed repentance and baptism with him and how he can know God's path through the Book of Mormon and prayer. He is a true seeker of the truth and gladly accepted to start reading and praying again. He then said if he finds the truth, he would be baptized which is a good sign! But he's not all for coming to church at the moment, so that'll be something we'll work on for the future. We also have been co

In front of the church in Cluj Merry Christmas!!!!!!! I hope this day is a wonderful one!! Elders Dahl, Church, Bowen, Kemeney in Sibiu for Christmas It's been a really great week for us, both in Timisoara and in Cluj. In Timisoara, we had a great couple of days to properly send me off! The greatest story was that Elder Strobel and I went bloc knocking for the first time in a long while. While we were doing so, we didn't knock any doors and we found 2 new friends!! What happened was that we rang their number outside the bloc, they answered and when we got to their floor, they opened the door straight up and let us in. Inside was a 70 year old man named Octavian who spoke English and really wanted to practice his English with us. So we went in and talked with him and his wife, Aurelia. As we were talking, we got to share about the Book of Mormon and we shared the Restoration and the Spirit was super strong!! They wanted a Book of Mormon so we gave them one and they

Christmas Without Sarmale Does Not Exist

Hey everyone this was a great week here in Timisoara!! So this week we had TRANSFERS!! So usually I don't freak out because of transfers but since a lot of missionaries are coming in and out, a lot of things are going to happen regardless of who you are. I am one of those people who faced some change because of transfers. I will no longer be training Elder Strobel here in Timisoara, but I am a Zone Leader with Elder Dahl in Cluj. So I'm pretty surprised, but excited at the same time. Even though I'm leaving Timisoara and Elder Strobel, the work still goes on and I know that I am needed in Cluj for a reason. I'm excited to be with Elder Dahl and to learn from him and to work hard alongside him in Cluj. I'm excited to be a Zone Leader and to lead this West Zone and to help it bring success and see the fruit of our labors. I am very grateful for the time I spent in Timisoara and I know I am a better person and a better missionary because of it. I am ready to bring

Hey everyone, this was a great week here in Timisoara!! Light the world chalk contacting This was a great week for us here in Timisoara. We had a great opportunity to teach Raul this week and we focused on the prophet. It wasn't the best lesson, but we got everything focused at the end and invited him to study the words of President Nelson. I know that as he does that, he will gain a deeper testimony and he will come closer to Christ. The biggest problem right now is that his family isn't letting him go to church which is the next big step for him to progress. But hopefully we can get him to the special meeting on the 23rd. We also had a lesson with Loredana (or should I say Elder Strobel did because he did it on exchanges with the Zone Leaders), but from what I heard, it was a really good lesson. The focus was on the Book of Mormon and connecting the dots with everything. We are now following up with her everyday to help her see the importance of the Book of Mormon more.

That's a Good Point....

Hey everyone this was a great week here in Timisoara!! First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROMANIA!!!! It was recently the 100 year anniversary of Romania becoming Romania, so obviously, there was a party. I did buy a mini flag and a Romania pin to celebrate the big day!!! Also pretty fun news, we got to go to Bucuresti for a training meeting for us in training. It was pretty fun except we went on sleeper trains there and back which led to a very tiring Wednesday in Bucuresti, but hey, it's all worth it. Probably the highlight of the week was when we had our lessons with Loredana. We had 2 lessons and both of them went really well. The first lesson was centered on the Plan of Salvation and our main focus was to help Loredana understand Christ's Atonement and why He knows our suffering. And we accomplished that goal. We both testified really hard and my last testimony left her speechless and saying "That's a good point..". The Spirit was really strong and I think w
