Oh No! The Umbră!

Hey everyone, this was a crazy week, but we are still alive and well! So we did some crazy work this week and managed to find 6 new people to teach!! It's super crazy because we are still trying to figure out this city and we are learning so much to accomplish our goals. So these 6 new people were definitely a surprise to us. Probably the coolest and most potential worthy is this guy named Tatenda from Zimbabwe. He's been in Romania 7 years and is a super faithful man. He loves Jesus and he told us that he wants to meet up and learn more about our message. We'll meet up with him this week and I'm super excited!!! We also did some crazy member work this week. Probably the best was helping this less-active American family move apartments. They are super amazing people and they appreciated the help so much. We spent 2 days helping them and it was worth it because now they are thinking about coming back to church! But whatever happens, they now know and love us for

Slap Slap and Sand!

Timisoara! Hey everyone! This was a crazy week and it's just getting started! So biggest thing is that I am no longer companions with Elder Atkinson. There were some last minute changes and my companion is actually Elder Kemeny now. So pretty crazy change that I was not expecting. So with Elder Atkinson gone, we are whitewashing Timisoara and who knows what will happen haha. Another big thing is that I am now the Branch President of this branch of people I do not even know. But the Lord has a plan for me and obviously this was part of the plan even though I didn't think it would be. God qualifies those He calls so here we go!!! The chapel in Timisoara Since Elder Kemeny and I are new to the city, we started right away by getting to know the members. We visited a member named Sora Negriu and we had a wonderful time with her. She made us a huge meal that was probably one of the best I've ever had. She made "ardei umpluti" which is essentially "stuff

Deja Vu

Hey everyone this week was a really fun week with some big things going on. Listen up! So the first big news is that I will be leaving Bucuresti after one transfer once again. Sad day, but I will be going to another great city called Timisoara. It's a city in the west and I've heard it is absolutely beautiful! I'll be with Elder Atkinson once again so that'll be really fun. I'll be leaving again, but I know that the Lord has a plan for me so this will be a really fun transfer nonetheless. We had a good lesson this week with a guy named Alex that we met the week before. He has problems and wants peace in his life so we felt like teaching him the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how following Jesus Christ will help us feel happiness and peace in our troubled lives. We committed him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and he already started reading which is super cool! He came to church and he said he really enjoyed it which is super

Sfantul Bowen

Hey this was a party week (haha) so listen up! This week we did a lot of contacting to try and get some new people to teach. We have been dry lately, but we have still been working hard to get more and more people unto Christ. We had a lesson with this guy named Theodore that I met on the street and it went pretty well. He is a young, law student who is a big truth-seeker with huge questions. So we met with him and tried to answer his questions as best as we could. He had deep, meaningful questions about God and Christ and why everything is the way it is. We shared the message of the Restoration with him and gave him a Book of Mormon and promised him that he will receive answers to his questions. The only problem is that he is shaky with prayer and its importance so we pray that he gains a testimony of prayer. We visited some great members this week, mainly to eat food haha. We visited Daisy again because she cooked us some Filipino food, which was the highlight of the fo
