It's Bumpin' in Bucuresti!

HEYYY THIS WEEK WAS AWESOMEEE!!!!! Tuesday we had 1) A lot of snow.... and 2) WE GOT A BAPTISMAL DATE!!!!! We had a lesson with this man named Bogdan and he was super awesome and everything was awesome! We met him at a games night and then he came to church and wanted to learn more so we met up with him. We taught him the Restoration and he absolutely loved it. He felt the Spirit super strongly and mentioned to us that he really wants to change. So we told him about how we can be made clean and forgiven through repentance and baptism for the remission of sins. He absolutely loved that and said he would for sure be baptized. So we set up a baptismal date for April 21 so please pray for Bogdan because this path is the one true path back to our Heavenly Father. All the missionaries we told were super pumped and everyone absolutely loves this man and his decision to be baptized.   SNOW Wednesday we had a lesson with our friends Daria and Andreea with the other sister mi...

Wild Wild Bucuresti

6 Month Dinner! Yo yo yo what is up???? This week was pretty wild! Tuesday was my 6 MONTH MARK!!!!!! And it was a wild one. We went over to this one lady's house named Axenia and while we were teaching her about the Book of Mormon, we get a call from a random number and it turns out to be an investigator of our Zone Leaders and he called us about the weirdest things ever. He was super hard to understand and we did not know why he was so angry so that was a weird way to spend that lesson. The lesson ended well and it set up for her to read 3 Nephi 11 for our next lesson which is exciting. We then went and got our 6 MONTH dinner at a place called White Lion and that was a super fun way to eat dinner. We then finished our evening burning a tie to commemorate 6 MONTHS in the country (because Elder Ward also hit his 6 MONTH MARK). However, the burning went pretty badly and it left a awful smell in our apartment...totally worth it though haha. Burning a tie to celebrate 6 mon...

I'm not sure if I'm in Romania...

Hello peoples of the world. This was a pretty chill week!! Persian Book of Mormon! Tuesday was ZONE CONFERENCE in the Panduri zone and it was pretty awesome. We focused a lot on baptism and how we can bring our investigators to baptism more often. It was a really great topic and definitely something that I want to improve on with the rest of my mission. However, before we can bring investigators to baptism, we have to have investigators in the first place. This week was really the start of that work to get investigators. Wednesday we had a great lesson with our investigator Daria. We invited her to the church for a tour and she ended up bringing her friend Andreea with her!! So we taught both of them, showed them around the church building and they absolutely loved it! After discussing with them a little bit about our church, we extended a baptismal invitation and they said they would be baptized if they found it to be God's will. So that was super and we hope they start pr...

Takin' it to the streets!

Hello everybody! This was my first week in Bucuresti and it was pumping!!! Tuesday was a slower day overall as I tried to get used to the city. We ended up going to an investigator's place named Axenia and read the Book of Mormon with her. It wasn't too intense but at the end we ended up talking about Jesus and his role in the Book of Mormon. We ended up challenging her to read 3 Nephi 11 when Jesus visits the Nephites in the Americas. After that, we went to the church and turns out Panduri has an actual church building!!!!! And it looks super awesome!!!! However, with a church building and a lot of snow, we had to shovel the parking lot and walkways for the church. Not as fun, but a good time nonetheless. Wednesday we did more shoveling for people, mainly for the sidewalks and around cars. It was really fun because we got all the elders in Bucuresti and put on Helping Hands shirts and started to do work. It was a good time and we were able to do a lot for the pe...
