Hey everyone this was an AWESOME week!!!!!!!!
Splits in Sibiu!

Even with some lessons falling through, we worked hard and we were able to see the fruits of our labors and those fruits were the greatest things I have ever tasted. What was great was that we continued our hot streak of talking to people and yet again, we didn't have a single day under 10 conversations. We just talked with everyone and we were persistent as well with these people. That lead to us finding 7 new friends this week, and at least one new person every single day. Needless to say, the Spirit was strong with us and that led to so many miracles and fire moments for us. I would like to share a few of those with you.

The first that I want to share is about a man named Robert. I met Robert on Friday on our exchange with Sibiu while we were walking to the church building. I saw him in the distance and felt a strong prompting to talk to him. So I did and we starting having a really good conversation. He was asking why I was here and what I was sharing and I was explaining how our message gives people peace and comfort and brings us closer to Christ. Because of this, he asked a follow-up question saying "Why did you stop and talk to me?" I responded and said that I had a feeling that I needed to talk to him. He responded by saying how he was in a really dark part of his life and this message was just what he needed. Ever since, we have been keeping daily contact and will have a lesson with him tomorrow and we feel like inviting him to be baptized because he is just so prepared for this message.

The second was last night about Gabriel. We have been trying so hard to have a lesson with him and we finally succeeded and from the very get go the Spirit was super strong. He was asking some of the best questions ever and we listened, shared scriptures that answered these questions and he was feeling something deep. And then, because of some great preparation, Elder Stark invited this guy to be baptized and he accepted. And now his date is May 8th and I am so excited for him. We are now keeping constant communication so he can receive knowledge and be prepared to be baptized. I just remember the Spirit testifying of our message and I knew that what we were doing was right and true. It was truly the perfect way to end such a beautiful week.

So yeah, we had an awesome exchange with Sibiu so that led to an awesome couple of days!!! First off, I was with both Elder Stark and Elder Church and we just talked to everyone! We probably talked to 30+ people and found many people interested in the Gospel. We also had a huge district council with 10 people because some sisters from Brasov came so that was awesome! And then we were also blessed to have the Hettingers in Cluj this weekend for Branch Conference and we had a great time contacting with him and the Gospel was shared to even more people!!! Yes, it was quite the week in Cluj!!

I love you all and I want you to know that God loves you as well and He wants you all to be happy and feel of His love and peace. Have a great week and never forget who you are!

Va iubesc,
Elder Bowen

With Every Hardship, There is Ease

Hey everyone, this was a pretty fun week for us! First off, crazy awesome miracle!!! So for the past couple weeks, we haven't been able to get in contact with our good friend Dragoș. But we found him on the street and we invited him to church and the most amazing thing happened. He told us that these past weeks he had been in the hospital because of something with his head. But while in the hospital, he had a dream with an angelic person telling him that he needed to be baptized in the church of Jesus Christ. So on Sunday he told us he wants to be baptized as soon as possible, which leads to us having a baptismal date with him for the 3rd of August. God works in marvelous ways because he truly loves us. Another cool miracle this week was our friend Amber. She's from China and is doing volunteer work here in Romania. This week we started teaching her Romanian/Gospel and its been really great! She also loves the piano so she played the piano for us at church! She loved ch...

Stand Ye in Holy Places

Hey everyone!!! So this was a really big week and a good amount of things went down, but I don't have all the time to talk about them, so I'll just give you all the basics! Bowen and Hoisington in the street! So the highlight and downfall of this week was when we set a baptismal date with Felix for about 24 hours. So we met up with him this week and we had a lesson about the Plan of Salvation. We had Fratele Matei with us and he was a big help for us because he loves this lesson. So we teach and it went really well and we set a date for August 18th! We were happy, Matei was happy, it was great. But we were talking with him at night and he said he no longer had any faith. So naturally, we meet up with him again and it was an interesting meeting. Essentially he is looking for historical evidence that the Book of Mormon is true and he doesn't have that evidence that it is true. So, we dropped his date and we won't be meeting with him anymore until he starts having ...

Dust of a Joke

Hey everyone, it was a pretty interesting week for me over here! First off, thank you all for the birthday wishes! Entering a new decade is weird but it's going to be a fun one! It was definitely a wild week for us here in Pitesti. We had a really good start to the week with meeting with Dragos and Zone Conference, but something happened in the middle of the week that caused the good start to end roughly. Dragos stopped responding to calls and texts, even though he was reading them just fine. In the end, he didn't get baptized and didn't come to church. But we might have some hope because he texted this morning saying that he was in the hospital again and didn't have access to his telephone. Apparently his mother had his phone the entire time he was in the hospital. We're not 100% sure if that's the truth so we are going to try and meet with him and figure out what's going on. It's kinda sad but we are working hard to try and get him back. But at the...
