"Whatever it is, we are against it" - Romania?

Hey everyone it was a pretty great week in Bucuresti!

Tuesday we had exchanges with the Zone Leaders and I went with Elder Krylborn. He's a pretty awesome guy and we had a really solid day! We spoke in Romanian for a good amount of the day and focused a lot on how to keep accountable with the goals we have set. Overall, it was a great day and we were able to see a lot of success because of our hard work!

Wednesday we didn't do much overall except we had someone try to fix our hot water and have it ultimately fail so they told us they would try again the next day. So that was fun?

Thursday we had a good day as we met with a member named Fang Shuang (he's from China) do his Family History so that was pretty awesome!! We also got some pretty great lunch with him so that was pretty great! We then had a lesson with a man named Florian who ended up being super awesome! We taught a 30 minute Restoration and he absolutely loved it! We hope to keep meeting with him and eventually baptize him!!

Friday was a solid day of contacting and meeting new people, but the best part was sports night with everyone. It was a fun time playing with everyone and it prepped everyone for the next day which was....

The weekend was filled with BAPTISMS!!! We were fortunate to see 2 baptisms here in Bucuresti and that was super awesome to be a part of. It was a great time all around with the Spirit so strong that it was just so great! Church the next day was great as well as we did some missionary work with the members for a little bit and then went home!

It feels like a quick week, but it was a great week to be a missionary!! I'm glad to be here and to witness the Spirit touch the lives of so many people!! Never forget who you are and what you can become!! I love you all!!!

Romanian Corn is not Iowan Corn....

Hey everyone how is life!!! Cause life is a party here!!! So I got my new companion! His name is Elder Strobel from Idaho Falls and he's a pretty chill guy. We are super excited to get work done here in Timisoara!! Receiving Elder Strobel has been pretty great and we have been learning and growing together and we have had many opportunities to teach together. We have had lessons everyday and each one has gone very well. We taught our friend Raul about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he liked it a lot. We invited him to baptism, but he wants to ask his parents before he makes a decision just yet. He's been reading and praying, but he has not come to church and I don't think he totally understands the importance just yet. His parents have told him he can come to church but every week his parents have plans and he can't come. We are hoping to teach him the commandments this week, with an emphasis on the sabbath day and church attendance. We also had a few Restorat...

Lamps and Pizza

Well hello all you cool people! This week was pretty sweet as usual! Listen up carefully! Tuesday was a pretty normal day to say the least. I had to have a doctors appointment for my visa and that was the weirdest appointment ever. I couldn't understand anything the doctor was saying and I kind of just sat there. But I am healthy!!! Later that day, Elder Dixon and I went block knocking and we met this woman named Dorina. She was very friendly and let us in and we talked with her about families. She then showed us her collection of trinkets and one of them was a little lamp. She talked about it and then out of the blue she told us that she wanted us to have it. This small, Aladdin type lamp. In 2018 Elder Bowen’s dad started asking a set of questions.
