Snagov: Betcha never heard of that before

Hello everybody! Another hard working week in Bucuresti!!!!

Bucuresti Zone Elders

Tuesday was a solid day because it was Zone Conference! Of course it was in Bucuresti and we had quite a good time. We focused a lot on using members more in our missionary work. The motto of the conference was MEMBER IT and we got pretty hyped about everything. It was cool to see everyone as well and see how everyone is doing.

Wednesday we had a full day of contacting and lessons and it went pretty well. We had 2 big lessons with our men Felix and Florian. The first one with Felix was pretty darn good. We had a member named Fratele Matei with us and we gave a pretty scattered Restoration lesson for the most part. But it was really good because it helped Felix get comfortable with Matei and it should start a great friendship between the 2 of them. Our second lesson with Florian was also pretty good. It was really quick and simple because we are giving him over to the Zone Leaders because he lives in their area. But we read the Book of Mormon with him and he felt the Spirit really strongly. It was so awesome and it topped off a good day.

Thursday we did a lot of stuff with members which was really great. We did some contacting with a member named Nabil and helped him in general because he is going through hard times with his life and everything so we were there to be his friends and help him feel loved. We then went on a run with Alejandro because we are helping him get healthier and it's going pretty well. He is loving every second of it and he just feels great now! MEMBER IT!!!
Sports Night in Bucuresti

Friday we had a lesson with this man named Tudor who was so freaking awesome but he doesn't live in our area! So we taught him the Plan of Salvation with the Zone Leaders so we can have an easy hand-off so everyone is happy. But the lesson was really good and we hope that he progresses a lot in the weeks to come!
Instead of pumpkins, lets use watermelons!

The weekend was pretty relaxed for the most part. We went and ate Chinese food with a member named Fang, also from China, so that was a really fun time. We then had another lesson with Felix to just simplify and clarify the Restoration and we learned that he has read all the way to Alma 50 now. So that's pretty darn intense! And then on Sunday, we had church and Felix came once again! It was a pretty great sight to see and he told me he really enjoyed church and everything that happened so that is awesome!

To clarify about the title, this morning we went to visit a small town named Snagov which is a little outside of Bucuresti. We explored a bit and had a good time as elders of Bucuresti! Now I want you all to explore and find new things, whether it be in nature or in the scriptures. Seek to find new things and learn everything you can about what you want to know. Seek to find the truth!!! I love you all and I hope for the best from all of you!!!

With Every Hardship, There is Ease

Hey everyone, this was a pretty fun week for us! First off, crazy awesome miracle!!! So for the past couple weeks, we haven't been able to get in contact with our good friend DragoČ™. But we found him on the street and we invited him to church and the most amazing thing happened. He told us that these past weeks he had been in the hospital because of something with his head. But while in the hospital, he had a dream with an angelic person telling him that he needed to be baptized in the church of Jesus Christ. So on Sunday he told us he wants to be baptized as soon as possible, which leads to us having a baptismal date with him for the 3rd of August. God works in marvelous ways because he truly loves us. Another cool miracle this week was our friend Amber. She's from China and is doing volunteer work here in Romania. This week we started teaching her Romanian/Gospel and its been really great! She also loves the piano so she played the piano for us at church! She loved ch...

Stand Ye in Holy Places

Hey everyone!!! So this was a really big week and a good amount of things went down, but I don't have all the time to talk about them, so I'll just give you all the basics! Bowen and Hoisington in the street! So the highlight and downfall of this week was when we set a baptismal date with Felix for about 24 hours. So we met up with him this week and we had a lesson about the Plan of Salvation. We had Fratele Matei with us and he was a big help for us because he loves this lesson. So we teach and it went really well and we set a date for August 18th! We were happy, Matei was happy, it was great. But we were talking with him at night and he said he no longer had any faith. So naturally, we meet up with him again and it was an interesting meeting. Essentially he is looking for historical evidence that the Book of Mormon is true and he doesn't have that evidence that it is true. So, we dropped his date and we won't be meeting with him anymore until he starts having ...

Week 3 in the books!

HEYYYYY YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS???? It is email time!!!!!!!!! This week was full of entertainment and I have a lot to tell you so listen up! Sunday was another great day in the MTC! The talks in our sacrament meeting were focused around the Holy Ghost which really brought the spirit to the meeting. We also got the opportunity to watch a talk by Elder Bednar called "Recognizing the Spirit". I learned really one big thing from that talk and it was to QUIT WORRYING ABOUT IT!!!! If you are given a prompting and it tells you to do something good, then do it. It is the Holy Ghost working among you and you should not doubt that fact. I really loved how even though that talk was years in the past, it stills applies to today! I was also called to be Zone Leader of my entire Zone , which freaks me out cause I am the youngest elder out of all of them but I feel blessed to be put in that position. My zone is gonna rock!!  (A zone is a group of missionary districts, and districts ar...
