Hey everyone this was a jam-packed week!!!
We managed to have a lesson almost everyday and that was just super awesome in the first place. We had another lesson with our guy Raul and he is doing really well. He is about 370 pages into the Book of Mormon and he is just getting everything. We taught him some of the commandments, including the sabbath day because that is the next step for him. We really made it clear that coming to church was important and he was really looking forward to it. Sadly, he got bronchitis Friday and has still been sick in bed since then, meaning he couldn't come to church. But, he's been reading from the Book of Mormon while in bed so he's doing his best. We hope that he continues to progress and gets better so he can come to church. We then taught another woman Irina the Plan of Salvation and it went alright, just a bit scattered again because of her questions on the sabbath day. She is asking the same questions which is confusing but she's understanding and reading the understand it more. We had a lesson with Marius and we focused a lot on tithing, which was a big question he had. We did a good job answering the questions, but he's still a little iffy on things. He's still coming to church which is a good thing and I hope that he continues to do the necessary things to grow his testimony.
Probably the most deep lesson was when we had a lesson with Loredana about the Plan of Salvation as well. I felt like we needed to teach her this lesson and when we started the lesson, she told us that she read from 2 Nephi 2 this week when she was reading the Book of Mormon, which was super awesome. She was asking all these questions about the Fall and Adam's transgression and so on. She believed that the fall was a bad thing and that because of it, we are here and Satan has power over us. She believes that Adam and Eve could've still had children in the Garden of Eden. We shared scriptures from 2 Nephi 2 that showed the importance of the Fall in the Plan of Salvation. The Spirit was strong and she sat there quiet for a little bit and we could tell she was feeling something. We committed her to read and pray about the Fall and we are hoping to meet up with her again this week to follow-up.
The only down part about this week was the lack of people at church. We had 3 members come which has not happened in a while and we don't know the problem. Familia Tamas has been impossible to contact it feels like as we have tried multiple times with no luck. Plus, people we are working with have weird situations that restrict their church attendance. Raul had bronchitis, Irina works at a hospital and works the mornings until the end of the month, Giulia works at home and her home is Deva, and so on. While it was a down week at church, we managed to get in contact with a less-active member named Fratele Munteanu and he told us he is really in need of help to change his life. I hope this week we can visit him and help him come to reality and bring him back to church. The great part about this story is that he reached out to us, meaning he really wants to change.
Sometimes we feel that our all is not good enough. However, God commands us to try our hardest, to do our best. If we are doing the best we can, we will be blessed. All we can do is all we can do and God loves that. Now go out there and do your best and forget the rest!!! I love you all and hope and pray for a great week for you!
