Week of LOTS of studying

Hello everyone!! Hope y'all had a fine week because that would be awesome!

Tuesday we started this new study curriculum and it has really helped the companionship grow and become way more unified. This week was studying just the Restoration and we started making our Preach My Gospels (their missionary teaching and study guide) so filled with highlights and notes so we can be the best teachers of the Restoration as possible. We also had English and it was super great because these 2 moms came and brought their children and they are the most adorable little girls as you would imagine! Made English wayyy better haha.

Wednesday we went to Sora Delia's and she made more amazing food. It was chicken with potatoes and I was like in heaven because chicken and potatoes are amazingly amazing haha. We then did more studies and then hit up blocs for knocking. We didn't have much success but you have to get through the bad to find the good. Otherwise, work would be too easy! To finish the night, Sora Delia invited us to go see traditional Romanian clothing which was actually quite cool. It was a very meaningful member interaction!

Thursday as you can probably guess was full of studying. But it was really meaningful because while nothing big happened, we were able to really get unified as a companionship. I never have enjoyed studying so much ever! When you have a set curriculum for studying, you become engulfed in what you are trying to accomplish and you grow way more than you ever thought you could.

Friday was a pretty hard day overall. We hit a lot of dead ends bloc knocking and a potential investigator turned out to be not interested after all. It's these moments you wonder what you are doing wrong or what you need to do better to have success. I really have tried to work my hardest and it's discouraging when there isn't success to come from it. However, success isn't measured on a number basis when you are a missionary. You are successful when you feel the Spirit testify where to go and what to say. You are successful when you develop Christlike attributes and become more and more like our Savior. You are successful when you become consecrated to the work and submit to the will of the Father. I may not be successful in baptisms or investigators, but I know I am growing as a missionary, as a friend, as a person, as a child of God. I personally am coming to Christ through this mission and that is a conversion that is stronger than any other conversion.

Saturday had another great English day (mainly because of the kids again haha) but the meaningful part of the day was talking with President Titi. We talked about what we think is not working here in Galati. And that got us really thinking because we want to know what's wrong. At the end of the day, we didn't come to a conclusion of the problem but we decided to fast to know what we were to do. And fast we did!

Sunday was an amazing day! We went to church and it was Branch Conference and we had 19 people come!! Super awesome!!!! All the talks were centered on Book of Mormon and how we need to study and feast upon it instead of just reading it. It was super great and you could feel the spirit so strongly. We also had Mihaela and her boyfriend Ionut come and that was awesome!!!! Church is so great I love it!!! We also went to Familia Stancu and had a nice family home evening with them.

Life is hard, but hard is good! Keep pushing forward and you will have an awesome life. I love you all and hope everything is going great for you all!

With Every Hardship, There is Ease

Hey everyone, this was a pretty fun week for us! First off, crazy awesome miracle!!! So for the past couple weeks, we haven't been able to get in contact with our good friend Dragoș. But we found him on the street and we invited him to church and the most amazing thing happened. He told us that these past weeks he had been in the hospital because of something with his head. But while in the hospital, he had a dream with an angelic person telling him that he needed to be baptized in the church of Jesus Christ. So on Sunday he told us he wants to be baptized as soon as possible, which leads to us having a baptismal date with him for the 3rd of August. God works in marvelous ways because he truly loves us. Another cool miracle this week was our friend Amber. She's from China and is doing volunteer work here in Romania. This week we started teaching her Romanian/Gospel and its been really great! She also loves the piano so she played the piano for us at church! She loved ch...

Stand Ye in Holy Places

Hey everyone!!! So this was a really big week and a good amount of things went down, but I don't have all the time to talk about them, so I'll just give you all the basics! Bowen and Hoisington in the street! So the highlight and downfall of this week was when we set a baptismal date with Felix for about 24 hours. So we met up with him this week and we had a lesson about the Plan of Salvation. We had Fratele Matei with us and he was a big help for us because he loves this lesson. So we teach and it went really well and we set a date for August 18th! We were happy, Matei was happy, it was great. But we were talking with him at night and he said he no longer had any faith. So naturally, we meet up with him again and it was an interesting meeting. Essentially he is looking for historical evidence that the Book of Mormon is true and he doesn't have that evidence that it is true. So, we dropped his date and we won't be meeting with him anymore until he starts having ...

Nebună cu o Diplomă

Hey everyone, all is well here in Pitesti! This was a good week here in Pitesti and I think we are starting to get things going. We focused a lot on members this week and to strengthen them. We have been working with Erika, a young returning member, to get her to be a friend to our people in lessons and at church. It was really cool this week with her because out of the blue she asked if she could be apart of a lesson or pass our pamphlets while she was in Pitesti. That was really cool and she is so close to coming back. She just needs to put church as a priority and then she's in. She's going to be the big support for Rahela to have a desire to come to church. We then started some ministering efforts as we talked with some members about who to visit and then going to visit those people with Marius. It didn't go as well as hoped, but we took a step in the right direction and I think this next week will be better. We also are continuing to try and strengthen Mihai and Ma...
