Iowa to Romania

Hey everyone, this was a pretty fun week for us! First off, crazy awesome miracle!!! So for the past couple weeks, we haven't been able to get in contact with our good friend Dragoș. But we found him on the street and we invited him to church and the most amazing thing happened. He told us that these past weeks he had been in the hospital because of something with his head. But while in the hospital, he had a dream with an angelic person telling him that he needed to be baptized in the church of Jesus Christ. So on Sunday he told us he wants to be baptized as soon as possible, which leads to us having a baptismal date with him for the 3rd of August. God works in marvelous ways because he truly loves us. Another cool miracle this week was our friend Amber. She's from China and is doing volunteer work here in Romania. This week we started teaching her Romanian/Gospel and its been really great! Hey everyone, all is well here in Pitesti! This was a good week here in Pitesti and I think we are starting to get things going. We focused a lot on members this week and to strengthen them. We have been working with Erika, a young returning member, to get her to be a friend to our people in lessons and at church. It was really cool this week with her because out of the blue she asked if she could be apart of a lesson or pass our pamphlets while she was in Pitesti. That was really cool and she is so close to coming back. She just needs to put church as a priority and then she's in. She's going to be the big support for Rahela to have a desire to come to church. We then started some ministering efforts as we talked with some members about who to visit and then going to visit those people with Marius. It didn't go as well as hoped, but we took a step in the right direction and I think this next week will be better. We also are continuing to try and strengthen Mihai and Ma

Hey everyone, it's your boy here in Pitesti with another week! This week was a harder week, pretty slow, but we still did great things. Some highlights were that we had a really solid lesson with Mihai about the Restoration and we are trying real hard to help him understand the gospel clearly. I think that was great and it lead to him passing the sacrament for the first time, saying a prayer in church for the first time, all while smiling and being happy about his new accomplishments. He's growing and he's becoming a cog in the Pitesti branch to help it function much better. We also had a lot of success sharing the Restoration movie as we shared it with three people and all three absolutely loving it. It has helped introduce the message and sparking interest, especially in younger people who love movies. But probably the biggest success was when we found a new friend named Alex. Hey everyone! This was another good week for us boys in Pitești! So our week was spent strengthening our recent convert Mihai and preparing him to receive the priesthood. We started by teaching him more about the priesthood so he could be prepared to know the responsibilities and now he's excited to start passing the sacrament and even blessing it. He's still got a long way to go as a member, but he's ready to learn. I was blessed to give him the priesthood and I could feel the excitement in him when he received it and it will be great for him. We are now trying to work with Dragoș to get him ready for baptism. Unfortunately, we weren't able to meet with him because he got a job this week (which is still really awesome) and he was out of town this weekend. He's still reading from the Book of Mormon so his desire is still there. He just needs more time to learn the necessary items for baptism. But it's been good overall. Hey everyone, I hope you had a great week because Pitesti did! This was a good week that was capped off by a great baptism. It may have been a sketch baptism with tape all around the font, but nonetheless, Mihai was baptized and that was the highlight of the week! It was great to see Mihai enter into the waters of baptism and to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and to truly see him come a long way. He has great desires to do good and help people. But he has a long ways to go in his progression and that is why we are going to work super hard to strengthen him and continue to teach him the doctrines found in Preach My Gospel. We talked to him about the priesthood and helped him understand what will happen and what his role will be with the priesthood. He's actually pretty excited to start passing the sacrament/blessing the sacrament which is great. But he will definitely be a work in progress as there are so many things to help him with, but he's ready for the step by step
